14x Hastings Triplet
The 14x Hastings Triplet hand lens by Bausch & Lomb is a high
quality magnifier useful for studying mosses or other very small
specimens. The lens diameter is 12.5 mm; focal distance is 0.8
inches. Includes soft storage pouch. Rim around lens is
plastic; lens swings out of metal handle with loop for

20x Hastings Triplet
The 20x Hastings Triplet hand lens, also by Bausch & Lomb, is a
very specialized instrument, and we do not recommend it for the
beginning naturalist. In any lens as the magnification
increases, the diameter of the lens decreases. This triplet
has a lens diameter of just 8.3mm. See picture
below with both the 14x and 20x triplets along with a U.S. penny for
size comparison.
