The Compleat Naturalist is very excited to offer what we
consider the world's best binocular. Several years ago, Swarovski invited
a team of world-class birders to meet with engineers to invent the ideal birding
binocular. Taking the suggestions back to Austria, the engineers designed
a brand new binocular, the Swarovski EL: waterproof, lightweight,
close-focusing, phase corrected, with overall superb optics.
As you see from the above images, Swarovski has eliminated the
bridge between the barrels, which reduces their weight significantly, as does
their space-age, lightweight magnesium housing. Focusing is
one-handed. Pull the focus wheel toward you and it adjusts the right eye
focus; push it back for center focus. The Swarovski EL's are airtight,
dustproof and watertight to a depth of 13 feet. Includes soft nylon carrying case.

of view 390 feet at 1000 yards; eye relief 18mm; close focus 8 feet;
waterproof/nitrogen purged. Weight 28.9 oz; dimensions 6½ x 4.8
