Weather Rain
Gauge
This precision weather
instrument was developed and manufactured to specifications from the
U.S. Weather Bureau. The top funnel of the instrument catches
rain and delivers it to the one-inch capacity measuring tube, which
can read to the nearest 1/100th of an inch. When the measuring
tube is full, additional rain overflows into the outer cylinder.
Pour the rain water from the outer cylinder into the measuring tube,
and you read the amount of rain you have received, up to eleven
inches.
By using only the outer
cylinder you can gather and measure content of solid precipitation.
Melt snow or hail and use the measuring tube to determine the water
content accurately and quickly.
The All Weather Rain
Gauge comes complete with no-rust mounting bracket, complete
installation instructions, and full instructions on how to use it,
as well as a one-year diary for recording rainfall.
