Rock & Mineral
Identification Class
Three Saturdays: Feb. 19, 26, Mar. 5
10:00am to Noon
In this three-session class taught by Compleat
Naturalist Owner, Dr. Hal Mahan, you will learn the
basics of rock and mineral identification. We have an
extensive teaching collection here at the store, so these will be
hands-on sessions with lots of specimens to examine. Also
learn about mineral identification tests, tools, and the best books
on the subject. Class size is limited, so sign up soon!
Sign up by ordering online (see below), by phone, by mail or in
person at the store.
Participants attend all three sessions; minimum age 16.
Fee: $30. (A portion of the fee supports
educational programs of the Southern Appalachian Mineral Society.)
